Psychology-Specific Databases

Psychology-Specific Databases

Start with the first database, PsycArticles, to begin looking for peer-reviewed journal articles. If you don't know what "peer-reviewed" means, see the resources in the Peer-Review subtab above.

Additional Databases

Additional Multidisciplinary Databases

Sometimes topics cross disciplines and it is helpful to be able to search in a database that contains articles that cover psychology and other subject areas. These databases cover many different disciplines.

If you find a citation in PubMed and the full-text article is not with it, you can search to see whether we have access to the journal it was published in through one of our Ludden Library databases. This video walks you through how to check.

Search EVERY Database

Search EVERY Database at Once

If you are still not finding what you want, you can try a Summon search. Summon allows you to search multiple databases at once. This search will also retrieve eBook titles that match your search terms.

SEARCH TIP - Use the limiters on the left side of your results screen to help narrow your results. You definitely will want to select peer-reviewed, but you might find some of the other limiters useful as well.
