UPCOMING TESTING DATES

 

TESTING IS EXTENDED THROUGH AUGUST 3RD.  ALSO, YOU CAN TEST TWO WEEKS AFTER YOUR LAST TEST AS LONG AS YOU ONLY TEST TWO TIMES IN ONE YEAR.  THIS CHANGE IS ONLY FOR THIS SHORT WINDOW.

The next testing dates for the TEAS and PN Predictor will be Monday - Friday June 6, 2022 through August 3, 2022.  Testing will be available most days at 8:30am and 12:30pm.  All testing is in the Exam Lab at the Cheyenne Campus.

TEAS Testing will be on the new Version 7 of the TEAS Test.  Please be sure you are studying for Version 7!!

TEAS Entrance Exam

Students who want to enroll in the first semester of the nursing program must successfully pass the TEAS test as part of the program application process. 

Please note:

  • There are a limited number of seats for each testing date and time.  An appointment must be made in advance.  Email the Exam Lab or call 307-778-1274 to make an appointment.

  • Nonrefundable fee of $65 to test. This fee must be paid on the the day of testing at the Exam Lab.  Cash, check or credit card accepted.

  • Timed three and a half-hour test. (170 questions - 150 scored and 20 unscored)

  • Overall score must meet or exceed the National Mean of 65.7, and the Reading score must meet or exceed 71.1.

  • A passing score is valid for 3 years.

  • Students can take no more than two tests in a 12-month period. (For example: a student tests on Jun 6, 2022. The student can retest one time before Jun 6, 2023). There is a three week waiting period between tests. If the student is unsuccessful on the second attempt, there is a one-year waiting period from the date of the last test taken.

PN Predictor

Students who are licensed as an LPN or have completed two consecutive semesters of nursing school and who want to enroll in the third or fourth semester of the nursing program must successfully pass the PN Predictor test. This test is like taking a mini LPN NCLEX. View more information on the nursing program advanced placement option.

  • Must meet all other entrance requirements for advanced placement prior to taking this exam. See more details here.

  • There are a limited number of seats.  An appointment must be made in advance.  Email the Exam Lab or call 307-778-1274 to make an appointment.  

  • Timed three-hour test. (180 questions)

  • Nonrefundable fee of $65 to test. This fee must be paid on the day of testing at the Exam Lab.  Cash, check or credit card accepted.

  • Must meet or exceed the national mean score of 69.1 on the test.

  • Passing score is valid for one year.

  • Students can take no more than two tests in a 12-month period. (For example: a student tests on Jun 6, 2022. The student can retest one time before Jun 6, 2023).

TEAS Version 7 Exam Details

  • Overall score must meet or exceed national mean.
  • Currently must score a 65.7 Overall AND 71.1 on Reading (on the same test)
  • Computerized with immediate scoring.
  • 4 subject areas: Reading, Math, Science, and English.
  • Timer at top of screen.
  • Answers left blank will be counted incorrect, so make a guess.
  • Scratch paper and pencil provided. Calculator on screen.

Numbers in parenthesis () are unscored items, so subtract those numbers from the total test items and you will get the number of scored items in each content area.

  • Reading: key ideas and details; craft and structure; and integration of knowledge and ideas.
  • Math: numbers and algebra; measurement and data.
  • Science: human anatomy and physiology; biology; chemistry; and scientific reasoning.
  • English: conventions of standard English; knowledge of language; and using language and vocabulary to express ideas in writing.

AIT Testing

TEAS and PN Predictor exams are conducted using ATI Testing.  Students who intend to take one of these tests must create a profile in ATI in order to test.  They will also find practice tests at this website.  This profile will be used extensively in the Nursing Program.
