Welcome to the LCCC Student Success Center: Home

The Student Success Center (SSC) provides LCCC students with tutors and other valuable resources that can help make their college experience a success.

On-campus Tutoring

We support student success through tutoring that fosters independent, active learning.

  • Face-to-Face tutoring is available free of charge for all LCCC students enrolled in one credit hour or more.
  • One-time or long-term tutoring is available six days a week, up to 1.5 hours per week per subject.
  • Tutoring is available in most subjects – from Math to Spanish to Chemistry to much more.

LCCC students should contact us to schedule an appointment or ask about our drop-in hours.  Appointments are highly encouraged.

You can also request a tutor using the “Request Face-to-Face Tutoring” link above.

What to Expect

Students should expect to play an active role in their learning process.

  • proofread, edit, or otherwise check homework for correctness
  • evaluate or give estimated grades on class work
  • simply give students correct answers
  • help students complete quizzes or tests
  • lecture class material  (Only your instructor can teach his/her class)
