Charges for Lost Items

We do not charge late fees for most items, but if you lose or do not return an item, you will be charged for the cost of the item plus a processing fee. Processing fees range from $5-$20 based on the item type.

Extended Checkout for Faculty and Staff

Faculty may check out books from the main collection for the entire semester, unless requested by another patron. Audiovisual materials may only be checked out for one week, unless circumstances require a longer checkout. Extended checkout privileges do not generally apply to leased books or periodicals.

Get Help From a Librarian

Our faculty librarians can help you with your research papers and other assignments. We are happy to assist with formulating your topic and keyword searches, finding resources to support your research, and citing those sources. Visit the Ask Us page to get started or schedule an appointment with a librarian using the button below. Visit the Meet the Librarians page for additional contact information.

Services for Distance Students

We make every effort to provide comparable services to both our in-person and remote students. If you have a need that we are not meeting, please contact us!

  • Online Research Databases: Extensive collection of ebooks, streaming media, and online articles; use your myLCCC login
  • Ask Us!: We are happy to answer your library and research questions via chat, text, video conferencing or over the phone
  • Online Library Card Application: Generally only needed if you request physical items like books or DVDs to be mailed to your home, a library card number and PIN is also required to login to some apps, such as Libby and LinkedIn Learning.
    • If you already have a student ID, your library card number is under the barcode on the back. If you do not have a student ID, complete the online library card application. Once your application is processed by library staff, we will email you your library card number.  Your PIN is "LCCC" if you did not reset it.
    • With your library card number, you can request interlibrary loan and/or have items mailed to your home. Contact us for help.

Interlibrary Loan

Books, articles and other materials that aren't available in the library collection can be obtained from other libraries through the
Interlibrary Loan Request Form.
If you have questions about this form or have forgotten your PIN, please contact the library for help.

You'll be notified as soon as your materials arrive. Although most items arrive within a week, it may take two or three weeks if an item is difficult to find or shipped from out of state. Therefore, requests should be made well in advance of the date materials are needed. For further information on the interlibrary loan process, please contact 307.778.1206 or libref@lccc.wy.edu.
