Source Types

It can be helpful to know what types of sources best meet your information needs. For instance, if you need information on a recent event, newspapers would be the place to look. If, on the other hand, you need background information to better understand a topic, a reference source like an encyclopedia might be your best bet. Different library databases have different types of sources. Your librarian can help you find the best one.
