The Ludden Library has many books across multiple disciplines that will be useful to the humanities scholar, including an extensive collection of books on art, history, religion, philosophy, and literature. Here are a few things to note:
- Our library is organized according to Library of Congress classification. Our shelves are arranged from A-Z in order of the alpha-numeric call number assigned to the items that arranges them by subject.
- The N class (for Art) is the only one that is not in the normal sequence. Instead of being in between the M's (music) and the P's (literature), the art books can be found wrapping along the wall on the northeast side of the building (the wall shared with our instruction room).
- Please ask one of our employees for help if you have trouble locating any items.
