The Insta360 Pro II is a professional-grade, 360° VR camera designed for high-resolution video capture, offering immersive visuals for a range of applications, from cinematic VR projects to virtual tours and live broadcasts. There are two Insta360 Pro II cameras available for use within Wyoming’s higher education network. Contact your librarian for more information regarding borrowing one of these cameras.
Set-Up Instructions:
Unbox Your Camera: Carefully open the box and take out the camera, battery, charging cable, and any other accessories.
Attach to Tripod: For safe handling, it’s best to attach the camera to a tripod.
Always weight your tripod with a sandbag or other weight to avoid tipping over and damaging the camera.
Charge the Battery: Connect the camera to the charging cable and let it charge fully.
Batteries can be charged using an external charger (if included)
Camera can also be powered by the provided adapter and power cord.
Insert Memory Cards: Insert all 7 memory cards into camera.
MicroSD: Insert 6 MicroSD cards into under side of camera. Ensure cards ‘click’ into place.
SD Card: Insert SD Card into slot behind the camera battery door. Ensure the card ‘clicks’ into place.
Note: The Insta360 Pro II requires very specific memory cards to function normally. See owner's manual for more info.
Format Memory Cards: Power on the camera, navigate to “Settings” > “Storage,” and format all microSD and SD cards to ensure compatibility.
Note: Formatting cards will delete all data on cards!
The camera should now be ready to capture. Proceed to setting up the Farsight Transmitter system.
